Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong is currently an Assistant Professor in Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. She obtained her PhD of Doctor of Philosophy and master degree from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi in Thailand (Biotechnology). She had worked as an assistant professor and lecturer in Nanoscience and nanotechnology program of Faculty of Sciences in King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi. Her research focused on Nanobiosensors for biomedical application, DNA self-assembly, Immunosensors, Enzyme based biosensors, Electrochemistry, Nanomaterials for sensing application, Bio-Chemical Sensors, Electroanalytical chemistry, Electrodeposition, Electrocatalysis. She will introduce topic of "Smart biosensors for medical diagnosis" in International Webinar Series on Smart Healthcare Science and Technology.

  Dr. Leong obtained his PhD of Doctor of Philosophy from National University of Singapore. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Bioengineering) from National University of Singapore and a Diploma d'ingenieur from Ecole Centrale Paris, a French postgraduate-level institute of research and higher education in engineering and science. Previously, he joined Clearbridge Biomedics Pte. Ltd. (now known as Biolidics) in 2013 as an Application Scientist (Business Development) and he was promoted to Clinical Projects Manager in 2016. Dr. Leong then joined Clearbridge Health Limited in 2017 as a Diagnostic Services Manager and he rose to the position of Innovation and Product Development Director in 2018. Dr. Leong Man Chun is currently Biolidic's Interim Chief Executive. As the Group’s interim Chief Executive Officer, he is responsible for the overall management, operations, strategic planning and business development of the Group. He will present with the topic of "Enabling liquid biopsy for clinical research and clinical applications with inertial microfluidics" in International Webinar Series on Smart Healthcare Science and Technology.

  Chou-Ching K. Lin received a Bachelor degree of Medicine from National Yang-Ming University, Taipei, Taiwan in 1988 and an MSc and PhD in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, USA in 1994 and 1997, respectively. He is a professor and chairman in Department of Neurology and an adjunct professor in Department of Biomedical Engineering, National Cheng Kung University. His areas of interest include functional MRI, brain-computer interface (BCI), brain stimulation, and neural network modelling of natural intelligence and artificial intelligence (AI). He will share with the topic of "Smart assistive devices of environmental control for quadriplegic patients" in International Webinar Series on Smart Healthcare Science and Technology.

Dr. Chia‐Ching (Josh) Wu was born in 1976 in Taiwan, where he obtained his degrees at the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU, Taiwan) (B.S.,M.S.,and Ph.D.). In his PhD study (2000~2005), he received scholarship for overseas training at Dr. Shu Chien’s lab in the Department of Bioengineering at UC San Diego (UCSD,USA) (2003~2005). During 2005‐2006, he was assigned as a biomedical engineering officer for military service at the Tri‐Service General Hospital. After that, he was trained for a two‐year postdoctoral fellowship in President K.K. Wu’s lab at National Health Research Institute (NHRI,Taiwan) (2006~2008). Currently, Dr. Wu is Professor and Chairman at the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy in NCKU and also been appointed as a joint professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He is also Division Director of Research Affairs in College of Medicine, NCKU. Prof. Josh Wu’s research interests are focusing on mechanobiology‐assisted tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Currently, he is interested in cell differentiation‐interaction microenvironment for adipose‐derived stem cells and the potential therapeutic approaches for cell‐based therapy. He has published 26 SCI papers in outstanding journals, such as Tissue Engineering, Circulation Research, Stroke, and Biomaterials. He will give a talk on “Cell-based Microfluidic Chips for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine” in International Webinar Series on Smart Healthcare Science and Technology.

Dr. Chamras Promptmas graduated his Diploma in Biotechnology from University of Kent at Canterbury, UK in 1988 and Ph. D. degree in Biochemistry from Mahidol University in 1994. He had worked on biosensor at Mahidol University for more than 15 years. Recently, he joined the department of Biomedical Engineering, Mahidol University as the Director of Biosensors and Micro-Total Analysis System Laboratory. He expanded his work to Ion Sensitive Field Effect Transistor (ISFET) and microfluidic systems. He will introduce the topic “Cell-based Microfluidics Chip for Biomedical Diagnostic Application” in International Webinar Series on Smart Healthcare Science and Technology.

Her research area includes Digital Transformation Strategies for MedTech enterprise as well as MedTech entry Strategy Analysis under COVID-19. Dr. Pranai Nakapaksin graduated from Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, Thailand in 2012. After working in Mahidol University and private practice for one year he was accepted for implant/prosthodontic residency training and Master’s degree in Dental Materials from Indiana University, USA. He completed Implant fellowship at University of Florida, USA in 2017 and Loma Linda University, USA in 2018. Dr. Nakaparksin is a Fellow of American Collage of Prosthodontics, Fellow of Royal Collage of Dentistry of Canada, Associate Fellow of American Academy of Implant Dentistry, as well as member of International Team of Implantology, Academy of Osseointegration. He is a co-author of Unanswered Questions in Implant Dentistry. Dr. Nakaparksin is full-time faculty at Mahidol University in Implant Center and Advanced Dentistry Department. He also maintained his private practice in Bangkok, Thailand focusing on implant dentistry and prosthodontics. He will bring with the topic “Digital Era of Implant Dentistry” in International Webinar Series on Smart Healthcare Science and Technology.

  Prof. Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman graduated from University of Bradford, UK with a B.Eng. Hons. in Mechanical Engineering, followed by MSc. and Ph.D. in Bioengineering from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom. Azuan’s research interests are quite wide-ranging under the general umbrella of biomechanics. However, his main interests are the measurements of human movement, prosthetics design, the development of instrumentation for forces and joint motion, and the design of prosthetics, orthotics and orthopaedic implants. In 2004 he received BLESMA award from ISPO UK NMS in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of the prosthetic socket. He is curently the Deputy President of Society of Medical and Biological Engineering (MSMBE), affiliated organisations of International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE). He is currently the Dean of Engineering and also the Deputy Director of Centre for Applied Biomechanics and the Coordinator of Motion Analysis Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya.
